At Tiny Tots, we ensure that Being, Belonging, and Becoming: The Early Years Framework (EYLF) plays an integral part in our curriculum.
What is the EYLF?
The Early Years Learning Framework is part of the National Quality Framework in Australia, aimed at providing a supportive environment for educating and caring for children. Established in 2009, the framework was developed by the Australian Government to emphasize the significance of early childhood development and ensure that all Australian children receive equal opportunities for successful transition to primary school.
The framework is based on strong evidence that shows early childhood is crucial for children's learning, growth, and wellbeing.
Children are connected to their family, communities, culture, and surroundings even before they are born. Their learning and development start in these relationships, especially within their families, who play a significant role as children's first and most important teachers. Through their experiences in daily life, children shape their own identities and perceptions of the world.
At Tiny Tots, we know that the early years of a child's life are very important for their growth and learning. We believe that every child deserves access to high-quality early education. That's why we use the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) as an essential part of our approach to providing education and care for children.
Our Tiny Tots educators encourage children to learn in ways that build confidence, foster creativity, and empower them to be active members of their community. We embrace and celebrate diversity with each and every child and their families by recognising the value of a range of diverse communities, perspectives and experiences which in turn expands and enrichens their understanding of the world around them. Our educators appreciate and respect that children come from many diverse backgrounds, cultues and nationalities and incorporate this diversity, not only into the daily currciulum, but into the daily lives of each child, to nuture and enrich their sense of Being, Belonging and Becoming.
